Portugal stocks lower at close of trade; PSI down 1.19%

Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 1.19%.

The best performers of the session on the PSI were Sonae SGPS SA (ELI:YSO), which rose 1.58% or 0.02 points to trade at 1.03 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) added 1.46% or 0.12 points to end at 8.35 and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) was up 0.79% or 0.16 points to 20.36 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP), which fell 4.15% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.53 at the close. Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA) declined 3.53% or 0.11 points to end at 3.12 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) was down 2.57% or 0.18 points to 6.82.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 10 and 3 ended unchanged.

Shares in Sonae SGPS SA (ELI:YSO) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.58% or 0.02 to 1.03.

Brent oil for May delivery was down 1.17% or 0.82 to $69.54 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.15% or 0.77 to hit $66.27 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.45% or 13.15 to trade at $2,900.95 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.26% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 103.89.
