Norway stocks higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.83%

Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.83%.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG), which rose 3.11% or 11.80 points to trade at 390.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM) added 2.41% or 3.70 points to end at 157.00 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) was up 2.16% or 4.00 points to 189.30 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO), which fell 3.76% or 6.50 points to trade at 166.45 at the close. TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) declined 1.72% or 1.50 points to end at 85.95 and Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI) was down 1.48% or 0.76 points to 50.64.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 151 to 122 and 23 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.02% or 0.67 to $64.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.55% or 0.37 to hit $66.43 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.36% or 11.71 to trade at $3,299.31 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.83% to 11.88, while USD/NOK rose 0.62% to 10.12.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 96.76.
