U.K. stocks lower at close of trade; Investing.com United Kingdom 100 down 0.03%

Investing.com – U.K. stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas Producers, Fixed Line Telecommunications and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in London, the Investing.com United Kingdom 100 lost 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com United Kingdom 100 were Vistry Group PLC (LON:VTYV), which rose 3.87% or 23.20 points to trade at 622.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Entain PLC (LON:ENT) added 3.35% or 28.00 points to end at 864.40 and Berkeley Group Holdings PLC (LON:BKGH) was up 3.02% or 108.00 points to 3,690.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Admiral Group PLC (LON:ADML), which fell 2.96% or 102.00 points to trade at 3,342.00 at the close. BP PLC (LON:BP) declined 2.64% or 11.25 points to end at 415.65 and Barclays PLC (LON:BARC) was down 2.49% or 9.20 points to 361.05.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the London Stock Exchange by 1000 to 698 and 619 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.24% or 44.70 to $3,651.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.10% or 1.97 to hit $61.51 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 2.78% or 1.86 to trade at $65.13 a barrel.
GBP/USD was up 0.80% to 1.35, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.92% at 97.39.
