France stocks lower at close of trade; CAC 40 down 0.31%

Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 declined 0.31%, while the SBF 120 index declined 0.29%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STMPA), which rose 3.78% or 0.83 points to trade at 22.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP) added 2.33% or 2.85 points to end at 125.00 and Kering SA (EPA:PRTP) was up 2.02% or 4.70 points to 237.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Societe Generale SA (EPA:SOGN), which fell 1.92% or 1.04 points to trade at 53.04 at the close. TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF) declined 1.78% or 0.94 points to end at 51.82 and Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR) was down 1.62% or 3.02 points to 183.84.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which rose 3.82% to 41.17, STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STMPA) which was up 3.78% to settle at 22.80 and Nexity (EPA:NEXI) which gained 2.67% to close at 8.66.
The worst performers were Viridien SA (EPA:VIRI) which was down 6.33% to 58.45 in late trade, Rubis SCA (EPA:RUBF) which lost 2.51% to settle at 28.02 and Euroapi SAS (EPA:EAPI) which was down 2.39% to 2.86 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 257 to 206 and 104 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.23% or 44.20 to $3,650.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.06% or 1.94 to hit $61.54 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 2.76% or 1.85 to trade at $65.14 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.89% to 1.18, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.90% at 97.42.
